Cala Can Pruaga, Cala Son Pruaga or Platja de Can Pruaga is situated at four kilometres from Estellencs, between sIllot and Punta de sEncletxa, as well as under the Mirador den Ricard Roca and des Grau, next to pico es Morro (632 metres high) and Puig de sEsclop (928 metres high). This place belongs to the Àrea Natural d’Especial Interès Serra de Tramuntana.
This beach is located in a very open sea inlet, which is not sheltered at all from the swell. This coastline has pebbles and is quite small, with a wonderful water. These elements make this beach quite popular amongst the residents of Estellencs, although it is not very comfortable for bathing because of the steep cliffs.
This part of the western coastline of Majorca is very high and steep, there are vertical cliffs and lots of torrents flowing into the sea. In the surroundings of Cala Can Pruaga there are four torrents, Torrent den Balaguer, o de Cas Xeremier, de Cas Xocolater, de sa Figuera and des Quer.
The marine and underwater conditions for anchoring boats are not very good. Only for small boats with small draught, during the day and with good weather. The navigator will have to be very careful, because there are lots of rocks emerging along the coastline. The nearest port facilities are located at Port dAndratx.
